Older generations are always lamenting the behaviors of younger folks. We’ve been doing it since the time of the ancient Greeks. Lately, people have been stressing out over Gen Z and Gen Alpha. What the heck are these kids up to? We don’t mean to feed into the hysteria, but some of their concerns are valid. 

Teachers everywhere have noticed that many young people aren’t up to snuff with their reading and writing skills. Maybe it’s a symptom of the virtual schooling that most kids did these last few years. Whatever the reason, a lot of teachers are concerned and don’t know what to do. Hopefully, this setback is just a bump in the road. No one wants this trend to become the new normal.
